LE Vehicle Tactics

OTG LE Vehicle Tactics course is a 24 Hour, 3 day Tennessee POST certified Patrol Tactics course. Students will learn the skills necessary to deal with threats encountered while they are within the confines and also in close proximity to their patrol vehicle as well as how to effectively deal with threats who are inside a vehicle.  This is the most in depth Patrol Stops Tactics course available covering both 1 and 2 officer Vehicle and Pedestrian Stops in Live Fire and Force on Force training environments. 

LE Vehicle Tactics Low Light

OTG LE Vehicle Tactics Low Light course is a 16 Hour, 2 Night Tennessee POST certified Low Light Patrol Tactics course. Students will learn the skills necessary to deal with threats encountered during hours of limited visibility while they are within the confines and also in close proximity to their patrol vehicle as well as how to effectively deal with threats who are inside a vehicle.  This is the most in depth Low Light Patrol Stops Tactics course available covering both 1 and 2 officer Vehicle and Pedestrian Stops at night in both Live Fire and Force on Force training environments. 

NIGHT FIGHTER

This is a 16 hour Tennessee POST Low-light operations course providing graduates the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively search, illuminate, identify and if necessary engage threats in low light environments. Students will learn comprehensive skills, techniques and advanced applications of weapons and light manipulations, movement and target discrimination in a spectrum of full light to extreme low light conditions.

STREET LEVEL CQB

This is a 16 Hour, 2 day Tennessee POST certified Patrol Tactics course.  This course is designed to provide Patrol and Street Level Officers with enhanced skills and knowledge to effectively operate inside of commonly encountered structures both as lone officers and as a 2 officer team. Deliberate Search and Dynamic entry/pursuit will be covered and officers provided with the knowledge and experience to select the appropriate method based on the threat and mission.

OFFICER RESCUE TACTICS

OTG Officer Rescue Tactics course is a 24 Hour, 3 day Tennessee POST certified Officer Rescue course which will reinforce marksmanship fundamentals, combat stress management, pre-incident planning and TTP development, mental preparation, teach techniques options when faced with a downed officer, movement, use of cover, fighting from unusual positions, an introduction to team tactics, gear selection, introduction to tactical combat casualty care, and on-going self training tools.

LE PATROL COUNTER AMBUSH

OTG Patrol Counter Ambush course is a 30 Hour, 3 day Tennessee POST certified Patrol level course. Students will learn the skills necessary to deal with Attacks by Ambush encountered while responding to calls for service as well as during routine patrol. Throughout the United States, we increasingly see Officers ambushed while performing their daily patrol duties. This course provides Officers with tactics and techniques to properly identify and defeat these attacks.

LE Critical Pistol

This is a 16 hour 2 Day Tennessee POST Handgun fighting course. Course content focuses on those skills critical to winning the fight; aggressive weapons manipulation while adhering to strict accuracy standards under speed. Students will receive instruction covering the entire spectrum of handgun employment from 0-25 yards. Graduates will leave training having demonstrated new found capabilities of Moving and dominating threats.

Like all OTG course this is a fast moving performance oriented course which will challenge students mentally and physically.

Patrol Rifle C.O.R.E.

This is a 16 Hour 2 Day Tennessee POST certified Patrol Rifle course. This class focuses on ingraining weapons manipulations and building engagement speed.  Students will learn and practice proper Loading, Reloading, Transitions, Malfunction clearance, and post engagement process. Graduates will leave with an assessment of their current skills and ongoing self-training tools to reach the next level of performance.

This is a fast moving performance oriented course designed to push you mentally and physically.

ENHANCED PATROL RIFLE

This is a 20 Hour 2 Day Tennessee POST certified Patrol Rifle course.  Low Power Variable Scopes are an absolute force multiplier for today’s Law Enforcement Officer, however they are often misunderstood. A LPV scope will not turn your rifle into a sniper weapon system and just because it has a daylight visible retical does not make it a Red Dot Sight. This class will teach the patrol officer how to run his or her LPV equipped Patrol Rifle at speed and also take advantage of the added magnification for Target Identification and engagement at distance.

ADVANCED PATROL RIFLE

This is a 30 Hour 3 Day Tennessee POST certified Patrol Rifle course. This course takes you far beyond the typical LE Patrol Rifle Standards. You will be taught up to date manipulations skills while deploying your rifle through out its full LE engagement range.  This course will require a great deal of movement, engagement speed, intelligent use of cover and ever increasing accuracy standards. No matter your entry level you will leave this course a much stronger shooter with a clear understanding of your capabilities with this weapons system.

The OTG Advanced Patrol Rifle class forms the backbone of our Instructor class. You will receive much of the same information and shoot the same drills and courses of fire as our Instructor Students. This is a fast moving performance oriented course. You will be pushed mentally and physically.

Police Sniper 1

OTG Police Sniper 1 is a 40 hour, 4 day Tennessee POST approved Basic Police Sniper Course. Students will be provided with the training and knowledge necessary to perform successfully as a member of a Special Response Team Sniper Element. The focus will be to provide tactical officers assigned as a sniper/observer with advanced marksmanship and field craft skills. This is a fast-paced course which will cover topics such as Legal and Ethical issues, shooting positions and movement, multiple target engagement, coordinated firing techniques, low-light encounters, urban stalking and movement, and woodland stalking.  Participants will be expected to pass a written exam and two marksmanship qualifications by the end of the course.

Basic SWAT

OTG Basic SWAT course is a 50+ Hour, 5 day Tennessee POST certified Tactical Officer course. Students will learn the individual skills, techniques and procedures necessary to function as an effective member of a Law Enforcement Tactical Team. This is not a vetting course. Officers are expected to arrive with the ability to perform mentally and physically at a high level and represent their department and communities well. Officers will be challenged through necessarily high standards and realistic training events. They will arrive back at their department as a highly functional team member who knows HOW to think not what to think.

FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR

This is a 40 hour Tennessee POST Firearms Instructor Course providing graduates the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage their Departments firearms training program. Students will learn the firearms training specific requirements mandated by Tennessee POST as well as comprehensive skills, techniques and training methodologies. At the end of the course, Students will be able to identify and transfer pertinent learning objectives, develop reality based curriculums, diagnose problem shooters, and articulate the role of LE use of deadly force within constitutional and statutory constraints.

PATROL RIFLE INSTRUCTOR

This is a 40 hour Tennessee POST Patrol Rifle Instructor Course providing graduates the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage their Departments Patrol Rifle training program. Students will learn comprehensive skills, techniques and training methodologies as it applies to the Law Enforcement Patrol Rifle. At the end of the course, Students will be able to identify and transfer pertinent learning objectives, develop reality-based curriculums, diagnose problem shooters, and articulate the role of LE use of patrol rifles.

NIGHT FIGHTER INSTRUCTOR

This a 30 Hour 3 Night TN POST Low Light Instructor course.   Students will learn Low Light science, as well as comprehensive skills, techniques and advanced applications of weapons and light manipulations, movement and target discrimination. Students will operate in a spectrum of full light to extreme low light conditions in both live fire and simunition based learning environments. Safety measures, course design and Force on Force planning will be covered in depth providing graduates the skills and knowledge necessary to safely instruct their officers in Low Light tactics.
