OTG Police Sniper 1 is a 40 hour, 4 day Tennessee POST approved Basic Police Sniper Course. Students will be provided with the training and knowledge necessary to perform successfully as a member of a Special Response Team Sniper Element. The focus will be to provide tactical officers assigned as a sniper/observer with advanced marksmanship and field craft skills. This is a fast-paced course which will cover topics such as Legal and Ethical issues, shooting positions and movement, multiple target engagement, coordinated firing techniques, lowlight encounters, urban stalking and movement, and woodland stalking. Participants will be expected to pass a written exam and two marksmanship qualifications by the end of the course.
Prerequisites:
Students must be Sworn Law Enforcement Officers (Local, State or Federal agencies)
