This a 40+ Hour TN POST approved course providing graduates a solid foundation on the tactical aspects of Law Enforcement Narcotics operations. The course will explore tactics, methodologies, trends and common principles that are specific to Drug/ Vice units. The purpose is to give a template for an (officer/ agent/ detective) to be successful in tactical operations specific to drug/ vice cases.
Tactical Narcotics Course is a tactics-based course, NOT an investigative course.
Investigative techniques will be discussed and explored but, the emphasis will be on the tactical aspect of clandestine enforcement. Upon completion of the course the student will have the ability to plan, rehearse and execute operations that include but, are not limited to: Search warrants, Buy/ Walks, Controlled Deliveries, Undercover Operations, Rescues.
This class will encompass Classroom, Live fire and Force on Force training.
FoF equipment will be provided by OTG and consist of UTM weapons, safety gear and ammunition. OTG’s Side arms are G17 platform weapons. If your department uses another platform you are welcome to bring your agency’s Simunitions or UTM pistols and ammunition for use in the class. ONLY UTM OR SIMUNITIONS BRAND FOF EQUIPMENT MAY BE USED IN THIS CLASS.

Prerequisites:
Current Law Enforcement officers only: City, State or Federal
Clear schedule with open mind and positive attitude.

- Duty Pistol
- Suitable concealed carry holster and magazine pouch. Officers may also bring a “tactical belt rig” if it is used during the course of their normal duties. This does not replace the concealed carry holster however.
- Minimum of 3 pistol magazines
- AR type patrol rifle with sling, 2 point slings are highly recommended. (loaner guns will be available upon prior request)
- Minimum of 3 rifle magazines.
